Selecting a Pet Carrier

How does one know which carrier to select there are Pet Backpacks and totes, soft pet carriers, airline approved pet carriers and wheeled pet carriers.
Pet Totes and Backpacks are good for small pets for around town. Soft Pet Carriers are good for almost anywhere to transport your pet and are not bulky like hard carriers. Airline approved pet carriers for good for traveling but remember just because they are approved they may not fit under cabin requirements always check with your airline first. Some Wheeled pet carriers come with recessed wheels while other are detachable.
Selecting ther right size carrier is important especially when flying you want ot have enough room for your pet but also be within airline guidlines. Sizing Pet for Carrier: Length: is from the nape of the neck (where the collar falls) to the base of the tail. Height: is from the floor to the shoulder. Weight: should not exceed maximum weight. |
